Me: through the eye of Dimitri Dimitracacos, great friend, and great fashion photographer.

...it's not always necessary to utter words when a friend is down...sometimes, a silent gesture of being around is enough to touch the heart and make them feel your presence...
I have my share of career gigs + projects but take unrelated side assignments when I can. More than the extra $, it's an incredible sociological study, fuel for creative ideas, and an intoxicating shattering of expectations.
Today I had a gig in one of the big bank towers downtown and had to get all corporate today, avec white blouse n' blazer.
Look, Ma, I'm all growned up!
My eighth grade graduation outfit, made by my Maw Maw Alice, 1985. It had a gored skirt. Notice the plethora of Duran Duran photos on the wall, not to mention, Billy Idol, Limahl, U2, and Rob Lowe. I do not know why the Adam Ant poster is upside down. Also: the Dustbuster was a present I *requested.*
This teeny tiny kitten was having trouble with one of it's eyes. After carefully cleaning it with chamomile tea, she (? - I keep forgetting) was able to open the eye a bit.
By the way, she's not being choked here, she was just too tired to hold her head up by herself ;-)
Me sat in Lloyds Bar on Wednesday; waiting for Andy, I had the laptop and iPod to avoid the chav music and 2 drinks- so greedy lol!

Day 208-- I think the last time I bought a new dress for myself was in college, ten years ago, so this new dress is a big deal. I even bought appropriate shoes to wear with it, since I didn't have any. (Case in point: I wore Chucks with my bridesmaid dress a few weeks ago. The bride and groom told me to.)
Anyway, I love this dress. It makes me feel pretty and girly and dancy, which is a good thing on occasion.
I've been tagged---yikes

Kiss me quick! No not me! I am not asking for, I am just reading the name of this tiny flower. :-)) Its diameter is approximately 5 to6 mm only (less than one fourth of an inch).
Common name: Pink Purslane, Kiss Me Quick, Chisme, Shaggy Portulaca
Botanical name: Portulaca pilosa Family: Portulacaceae (moss rose family)
This little wild flower is a prostrate, fleshy, branching plant that rampantly reseeds in lawns. The leaves are alternate. Leaves can reach 3cm in length (1inches) Leaves can be as wide as 0.5 cm (0.2inches) They are succulent, usually more or less rounded, linear to oblanceolate. The small 5-12 mm diameter flowers have five petals. They are deep pink. Blooms first appear in late spring and continue into early fall. This plant will grow just about anywhere there is a place to get a foothold. The seeds are very tiny and can be carried by the wind or hitch a ride on people and animals. It is very beautiful in mass plantings, though, and has been very effective in preventing erosion.
