Taken the same day, this is me in Roman in Birkenhead trying on a blue dress with flowery detail. Usually, whenever I’m in Birkenhead, I try stuff on in Next but they had nothing worth trying on, hence the reason why I darted into Roman. As for the title, well, it may be Christmas Eve but Christmas is a time of forced jollity really – it’s a time of sadness for me. I suppose that all started to set in when I was ten because I can remember saying to myself at the time, “I don’t want 1982 to carry on and I don’t wanna die. All these glitzy, happy-clappy Christmas ads just make me want to retch because, for some, that’s NOT what the festive season is. It’s fine when you’re a kid (and if you’ve got them) but, for some of us, it isn’t really the season to be jolly.
As for the original description, I have no idea because, two years ago on 28 March, the account I had under the name of Barbara Cortina was terminated by Flickr for violating their terms and guidelines, without a word of warning (which they can do by the way). Not only did I lose nearly 2500 photos but also their descriptions, not to mention 11-12 pages of favourites and people who I followed as Barbara Cortina. It'll take ages to build up what I have left because half the photos are gone forever.
As Barbara Cortina, I'm no longer allowed to have a Flickr account, because, apparently, I violated their terms and guidelines but did they tell me HOW I'd done that? No. Many of the photos (including most of those I took while at Haven Lodge) are gone forever because I didn't think to back them up by downloading the relevant folders – it was really crushing. Right at the end of March, the same thing happened again when another account I set up (under Barbara C this time) got terminated as well...also without warning for violating their terms and guidelines (which I never did). As a result, I lost 2447 images but this time THIRTY-ONE pages of favourites. Again, it's really fucking crushing.

The male eagle appeared to be trying to regurgitate a pellet. Like other raptors, eagles will expel pellets of indigestible prey remains, such as feathers, fur, beaks and teeth. Got some unusual shots of the bald eagles this morning. Visit blog.rosyfinch.com
don't buy campbell's chunky clam chowder it's gross.. i couldn't finish it, had a good 1/4 bowl left... it got reduced to like a 1/5 bowl cuz it evaporated and molded.. went from white to green back to white
i filled it with water and let it sit, and poured it out in the trash room, i like retched when i watched it fall it was gross

Knowing that we were heading for base Camp was exciting: that we would start the final ascent tonight really exhilarating. Couldn't believe that finally this day had come - bring it on!
A sharp climb up to Base Camp, by now even the porters were stopping for a rest, some retching - mind you - they DID have a lot to carry! I often felt like a pampered fraud - what right did I have to climb this majestic mountain if I could only do it with the backup of a large number of portes...

There are 50+ of these lining one side of the street & hundreds of people crowd in to purchase &/or stare incredulously.
The smell of these is something that cannot be described - only experienced. Once smelt it is forever burned into your memory & nasal cavities. Some people stand in line without issue, others dry retch (or worse) as they try to hurry through the crowd.
It's best not to look at the pavement at what you might be treading in.
The food is sold ready to eat.
Look closely.
DELINQUENTS!! SAVAGES!! Yesterday my dogs were attrociously awful disobedient retches! They distroyed the house TWICE, refused to listen and refused to come into the house when let out briefly during their punishments.
Somedays I feel it may be easier to have kids...then I remember I can kennel these guys and go about my business...

My poor puppy is sick. During dinner, he usually sits at my feet. Halfway thru dinner, he started retching and then he threw up. An entire stomachful of grass. After he came in from outside (you always let a dog out so they can finish) he threw up again. So I gave him a bath (to clean him up) and then he slept for four hours straight (which is unusual for him). This picture is him looking pathetic after his bath. When he finally woke up, he decided he was still hungry, so he ate a little bit of food... and then threw up again. We rounded out the night with 2 more periods of retching up bile. Poor Riley.
