I spent the last hour and a half in Photoshop CS4 completely transforming this picture using only curves, a paint brush, and saturation layers. No sharpening, no dodge/burn, no nothin'. Definitely my new favorite masterpiece. I'm so stinkin' proud of this. I'm even proud of my signature. Just check out the before/after..
Gross.

Hot Freaking Breaking Good News: Inspired by the Impossible Project,
I was inspired by FACE/Project, a collaborative venture by Michelangelo di Battista and Tina Berning. Their images were printed onto unexpected canvases and manipulated. I wanted to stretch the boundaries by experimenting with alternative materials. This piece was created using hessian and recycled books and maps.

Set 4 of 5 in a series compiling all varieties included in this class of Demon.
• Gildigobo (Lesser Being of Greed): The only sentient Greed demon that participates in physical combat, and is equipped to do so. Gildigobo is a scheming, resourceful and independently operating creature that is always looking out for itself and only for itself. Gildigobos are master thieves and also demolition experts, having strong metal fists with fingers that can completely retract at will and the talent of crafting explosives. The corrupt formal practices, manipulation and mass depletion of monetary resources on a large scale favored by the Thaji–Duem and Quantaiz appeal little to Gildigobos; they only care for the type of money they can physically hold and see. If they lived in the mortal world, they would be street criminals. They occasionally keep Penchrett as pets, and can be effective as soldiers/minions but will never volunteer on their for any cause that is not for their own personal benefit. Durability value of 1,000 or higher.
• Cluktois (Lesser Beast of Envy): A demon found roaming the Cycian Deadlands, hovering over the ground and fanning up dust all around itself with the jets of air it emits as if it were a vehicle, and eviscerating each of its enemies in one fell swoop (except the ones that take more than one blow to kill, and the ones that actually kill the Cluktois). Cluktois wields two enormous twin scythes, actually connected to its hands, which it casually carries behind its body outside of combat, and rotates around 180 degrees to its front when an enemy is sighted. A natural born hunter, the Cluktois spends its days traveling the uncharted wastes of the Underworld at breakneck speeds, searching for rare and exotic creatures to kill for the thrill and sport of it. Starting with small and weak animals, they work their way up a hierarchy of potential game at their own self–determined pace, with the lifelong goal of being able to take down Hell’s largest and most formidable wildlife. Of course, few have the skill and luck it takes to compete with such creatures, and Cluktois have a very short life expectancy, which is to be expected for a creature that actively seeks to fight with others not even for food but for the sake of violence. However, they show no signs of dying out or even decreasing in number, and it is theorized that individuals of this demon race are actually reincarnated in the same form, which is the case for a few other miscellaneous wild demons. Cluktois are also intelligent enough to discern sentient, civilized demons from “wild” ones, and is not hostile towards the former, making them welcome visitors whenever they come to the City of Drenn. Their durability value ranges from 1,300–1,800, thanks in part to their hard outer shell.
• Zarasadan (Archfiend of Sloth): Truly a horrifying sight to behold, a thing that some say crawled out from the lowest trench in the Underworld. The Zarasadan is a giant corpse–like figure consisting of a decrepit, gore–covered head structure attached by a network of tentacles to a mass of grotesque sphere–shaped lumps of flesh, the creature’s entire body perpetually secreting bright red blood, said to be that of Humans and summoned from the pits of the Old Hell, in the void below the darkest depths of the Underworld, where the spirits of Earth’s damned continue to suffer with Lucifer for all time and beyond. The truth may never be known, as the Zarasadan is born with an irremovable metal plate firmly nailed into its head over where the mouth would be. In any case, for it’s terrifying appearance, the Zarasadan is actually, in fact, relatively harmless, having no discernible limbs. It has little need for offensive attacks, since the mere sight of it is enough to instantly frighten away virtually all mortals who don’t face demons on a regular basis, and its status as the Archfiend of Sloth inherently grants it the respect of other demons. Everywhere it goes becomes drenched in blood, however, completely ruining the flooring of any building it enters. Additionally, the Zarasadan has a durability value of more than 5,000, so don’t make the mistake of assuming it easy to kill by any means.
• Xoultac (Archfiend of Pride): As the epitome of the Sin of Pride, these demons revolve their existence around establishing themselves as proud and mighty rulers in Hell, superior to all their fellow demons. Being Archfiends, this claim of theirs is not entirely baseless. Indeed, their enchanted golden talons coupled with extra–mortal agility and reflexes, not to mention sadistic brutality towards enemies when provoked, as well as a durability value well over 3,000, make them a force to be reckoned with. Each and every Xoultac comes with his own personal bastion of decadent darkness, officially known as a Xoultac Palace but often referred to as a "castle" or "fortress", where he is catered to by a staff of Hoilidant servants. This castle materializes out of thin air around a Xoultac the instant he is born, appearing in a random vacant location in the Underworld (either in the Cycian Deadlands of the Gomorran Desert; usually the former), and whenever a new one appears any “unemployed” Hoilidants are instinctively alerted to the presence of a new master and drawn to the location. Generally, Xoultacs’ alleged “authority” is largely unrecognized outside of their own castles, and never threatens that of the true Dark Lords, but some individuals are more successful and competent than others and are able to place other types of demons in their service. Lord Reson physically resembles a Xoultac somewhat (but is clearly a different and much more powerful creature altogether), and has been allied with a few notable ones, most notably Evil Ninja Emperor Heinrich.
• Koikheth (Greater Beast of Wrath): Among the Deadly Sin Demons, the Beasts of the Wrath family bear the most humanoid body structure. This beast is extremely cunning, vicious, intelligent and resourceful enough to use an actual weapon, and the biggest thing setting a Koikheth apart from the other members of its family (excluding it’s strangely bright and varied color scheme, which is superficial) is that the Koikheth is significantly bigger, stronger and more dangerous than all of them except the Entrorth. The precise utilization of a sophisticated boomerang/tomahawk–like weapon is apparently an inherent natural characteristic of this demon, especially considering the fact that all Koikheths carry a pair at all times. These weapons seemingly materialize from nothingness, fully assembled and functioning, the moment a Koikheth is born, and are bound to the very being of their demon wielder. If the weapons are destroyed or otherwise made irretrievable, they simply reappear from thin air in the hands of their owner, and if any other being attempts to use them, they instantly vanish from the non-Koikheth’s grasp and return to the Koikheth. For this reason, none have ever been able to properly examine or replicate the Koikheth’s unique weapon, and it is considered, for all intents and purposes, to be a regenerating part of the demon’s body. The only known way the weapon can be touched by anyone else without it vanishing is if it was thrown at them and is piercing their flesh, in which case the person touching it is usually too busy dying to take a closer look at it. This demon’s durability value is 1,600.
• Amelchya (Greater Being of Lust): The more devious, intelligent, dangerous and attractive counterpart to the Iltazan, this Succubus devotes herself to seducing as many victims as possible and CANNOT be “tamed” by mortals; she will only ever listen to a Ferekkus, which she requires a bond with in order to stay healthy. The Amelchya can travel to and from the mortal universe as she pleases, seeking out boys to have her way with and add to her collection of victims. After successfully romancing a boy by whichever method they are most susceptible to, the Amelchya uses her special powers to sexually overwhelm him, eventually bringing him to a magical final orgasm which melts the victim’s body and soul into a slime which the Amelchya absorbs, adding his life essence to her own power and trapping his soul as a mindless eternal sex slave within her being. This fate is admittedly preferable to those inflicted by other demons/sins, in both the physical death and subsequent eternal enslavement of the soul, but obviously it is much better for one to continue living and hopefully earn a place in Heaven. When assailed by an Amelchya, the plain and simple way to avoid being raped and absorbed is to violently kill her using whatever methods and implements are available at the moment; she possesses no other extra–mortal powers than those of the sexual variety, and has a durability value of only 300, so killing an Amelchya is physically very easy... but for a boy to actually bring himself to do so by completely overcoming his Lust at the moment is a much more difficult feat.
