Named Jaw Dan Yi, in Hmong, it’s a tiny flower growing on vertical slopes in big clusters. The Hmong use it as medicine for stomach aces, eat it fresh or boil in water and drink.

A few month ago I posted another image of this flower with the title “Like so many people in HaNoi”

The Kidron Valley - it is traditionally believed that when the Universal Resurrection is completed , trumpets will sound and the Last Judgment will take place in that Valley. For this reason the site has been a favored burial place for thousands of years. I was told the the price for a place there is over $10,000.

The Dom of the Rock was built on the site of the First and Second Temples in 691. Moslems believe that this is the site of Mohammed's ascent to heaven. The roof was gold-plated in 1994. Tourist are not allowed in the temple, now. As I was told - in the center of the Dome of the Rock is the rock of Mount Moriah on which, according to Jewish tradition, Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac, while Moslems believe that it was Ishmael. Here stood the ARk of the Covenant in the First Temple.

Yes, another postcard from Bruges, I repeat myself, I know… but I must admit I’ve been checking pictures from that day and I believe there is more than one “acceptable”… I could almost have enough for a mini postcard series from it… :)

Curiously, few days ago, after visit to this beautiful city, I watched one of the last movies from Colin Farrell named “In Bruges” that I really enjoyed it a lot. Sometimes can look slow but it was funny and surprisingly enjoyable. I recommend it honestly.

It’s filmed mainly in Bruges so many touristic places are shown in it and photography is really good…

Thank you all for your comments in previous picture… big hug to all of you.

I like more the bigger size...

So, I was shooting the sunrise out at the point on the far left of this frame, pointing to the right over the ocean when I looked up and saw this amazing formation in the strato-cumulus cloud deck. I looked around for some rock formations that lined up with the clouds but saw nothing out there. So, I ran almost a mile down the beach over terrain like you see in the foreground until I finally saw what I wanted.

Fortunately the cloud formation stayed in place long enough for me to capture it here!

Then I waited for a wave to complement the scene and provide definition to the sandstone formation on the right side of the frame. I have never seen anything like

this before or after, so I was quite fortunate!

On Saturday, I dragged out my studio lights, the posing platform, and background drapes. It's been months since I set up my studio gear. I used a very basic lighting setup on this shot. (Simple always seems to work best with animals!) One stobe was pointing at the backdrop, set to 100% power. The other light was bounced out of a white umbrella onto the pugs at 80%. I always have fun playing with the lights and seeing what different setups create.

(Quelle: Wikipedia)

The common ivy (Hedera helix) is a twiner and the only Central European representative of the family Araliaceae.

The evergreen plant is able to climb up to at least 25 meters to trees and walls with their roots. Ivy can reach the age of 450 years.

The small, yellow-green blossoms are umbels and appear in the months of September through October. With this late flowering ivy is a specialty within the central European flora with their mainly flowering in the spring and summer and an important food source for bees, wasps and hoverflies. Of the butterflies, the admiral visited the blossoms. The silk ivy-bee (Colletes hederae) has even exclusively specializing on ivy pollen for rearing their broods . (Source: Wikipedia )

One Canada Square (also known as the Canary Wharf Tower) is a skyscraper in Canary Wharf, London. It is the tallest building in the United Kingdom at 800 ft (240 m) above sea level, or 771 ft (235 m) above ground level[5][6] (see height section for other quoted heights). It is the sixth tallest building in the European Union.

One Canada Square is a conspicuous London landmark, clearly visible at a distance from large areas of East and South London in particular.

The tower can be seen approximately 30 miles (50 km) away from the following notable observation places:

. Gore Hill, Amersham, around 28 miles (45 km) away

. ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire is over 32 miles (51 km) away

. Guildford, around 31 miles (50 km) away

Canary Wharf is a large business and shopping development in London, located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, centred on the old West India Docks in the London Docklands.

Rivalling London's traditional financial centre, The Square Mile, Canary Wharf contains the UK's three tallest buildings:

The Neckar bridge made of wood and glass built in 1988 was at 88-m wingspan the longest wooden bridge in Europe. Approx. 1,000 acres glass keep pedestrians and cyclists dry.

The bridge is one of the two pedestrian bridges in Remseck (Region Stuttgart, Germany), at the mouth of the Rems (52 m) into the Neckar (80 m). Both bridges were built on land and then moved over the rivers.

Yep, I am going wacky I think! I have to stop uploading these photos so late at night!
