Let's move from Prague to Munich :)
After Prague we went to Munich on short notice
Station Georg-Brauchle-Ring of the U1 line.
Info
Georg-Brauchle-Ring is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1. It is located below the Georg-Brauchle-Ring, part of Munich's Mittlerer Ring ring road system. It opened on 18 October 2003. Artist Franz Ackermann produced two coloured walls for the station entitled The Great Journey and consisting of 400 panels, each wall weighing 30 tons
Technique/Processing
Handheld - only 1/15s this time - so no problem at ISO 1000 - i really love the ISO Auto function of the D700 - you can concentrate on the subject instead of having to adjust your exposure/ISO every time.
Developed from RAW in Photoshop - one exposure for the lights (especially the clocks - they were completely white out of cam) and one for the rest and then combined them by layer masking.
A little contrast added, by applying a slight S-curve.
After that i added some 'glamour glow' to the lights on the ceiling and their reflections to make them look softer.

Thanks everyone for your visit, comments, critiques, fave,invite..etc. I really appreciate it.
On this occasion, the wally was me! Why? For forgetting to take my Lumix off the rock on the bottom right of the image when I was taking it :p I've cloned it out now of course :)
Also cloned out the big buoy between the island and mainland (see previous picture), as well as the dust bunnies I've got, and had to straighten the lighthouse as well as the 10-20mm at 10mm doesn't half have some distortion :)
Oddly enough the colour is the one thing I've not touched in post-pro, I spent far too much time (ok 10 minutes) cloning out the camera, buoy and straightening the lighthouse that I was fedup already by then).

The sun. The nearest star, despite it shines from a mere 150 million kilometers far away.. In order to take this shot, I have climbed upon a dam and waited there until the sun barely touched the bridge, far away no more than 1 km from me, one hundred fifty milion times closer than the sun. More or less...
Taken this morning at Sheerness on the isle of Sheppey when with Mark (code.dude) we got there at 5.15 the actual sunrise was spectacular!
One quick post before I take a Shinkansen to Tokyo, another train to Narita, and a 10-hour flight back home.
I enjoyed your beauty so much, Kyoto.

It is so strange to see the B.C Legislature building at night without it's thousands of little white lights. I've lived in Victoria nearly my whole life, and have only seen this a couple of times.

Mexico City International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México or AICM), also called Benito Juárez International Airport (IATA: MEX, ICAO: MMMX) is a commercial airport that serves Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. It is Mexico's and Latin America's busiest.
This hot and high airport offers direct flights to more than 100 destinations worldwide. In 2009, the airport served 24,243,056 passengers, a decrease of 7.5% compared with 2008, who received 26,210,217. This modest decline was mainly due to the global financial crisis and the outbreak of influenza. In optimal conditions, and with the current renovations and expansion projects completed, the Benito Juárez airport will be able to handle up to 32 million passengers per year.[3]. It provides non-stop services from Mexico City to North America, Central America and Caribbean, South America, Europe and Asia.

last summer this was one of my best session. It's a one hour motorbike ride to the top of the pass "Furkajoch". To drive be motorbike has beside the driving fun also the advantege to park the vehicle everywhere you want. Especially with the narrow mountain roads you could spare your nerve. My motivation here was to capture the sunrise. So I had to start early in the darkness. But I was some minutes to late the sun was rising, you could see it in the lower picture. Clouds gaves me the advantage to enjoy a further sunrise.
At this location I was fascinated on the round hill in foreground. To have such an element in the near is interesting for composition exercises. Because when you move some steps to the side, the view will change totally. This gives you the advantage to arrange the scene in a quick way.
Could you see the hiding Easter Bunny?

Yesterday
all my trouble seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they`re here to stay
Oh I believe in yesterday
Suddenly
I`m not half the man I used to be
there`s a shaddow hanging over me
Oh yesterday came suddenly
Why she had to go I don`t know
she wouldn`t say
I said something wrong
Now I long for yesterday
Yesterday
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh I believe in yesterday
Why she had to go.......
Yesterday
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Why is the sky blue?
The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.
However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.
As you look closer to the horizon, the sky appears much paler in color. To reach you, the scattered blue light must pass through more air. Some of it gets scattered away again in other directions. Less blue light reaches your eyes. The color of the sky near the horizon appears paler or white.

Honestly I LOVE THIS CITY.
Every detail of it is painted with this special touch. Everything is found a world city needs and you feel the fresh taste of new life everyday!
Ha I am getting poetic and this with my bad English. I am sorry :)

Having seen some great shots by some of my Contacts of this Future Systems building at 367 Oxford Street I know there's a lot of potential but every time I've walked past the building is in shade. I liked this one though as the chaotic composition seemed to reflect it's Oxford St context.

The jumping spider is typically found in tropic regions. The tropic regions that they are found in are very different, anywhere from the rain forest to the Himalayas. The jumping spider can be found anywhere in these climates, if its day the spider can be found on the ground, on rocks, in the grass, or on trees. At night or if it is raining, the jumping spider will hide under rocks or a small web.

this is part 1 of my 4 seasons series..
spring, summer and fall will be coming soon..
i haven't thought up of them yet..
this series is inspired by a great russian photographer Oleg Igorin... he is the man ! and i say he has gained my attention as an industry standard.
this shot was done in a parking garage with 3 speed lights.. and a single alien bee strobe AB1600..
i had the glitter cross lighted by 2 speedlights gelled with blue and green.. the green wasn't showing up too well..
anyways.. it is a project i have been thinking of doing for awhile and hadn't had a chance.. but last night presented it self..
1 speed light in the rear and a shoot thru for the wall and partial side lighting
2 speed lights for the cross lighting..
1 AB 1600 for the key light 64PLM was used.
all speed lights were full power
the AB1600 was just below 1/4 power being it was really close to Katie
lots of glitter was use.. LOL.. really fun shot..

After the Thurs-Fri snowstorm. I think the full moon washed out the reflection on the water a little bit. Going to find something else to study now. Last Brooklyn Bridge shot for a while.

Today I have been driving back to my hometown, the places where I have grown up. There comes a time in the year when I can really smell in the air the taste of spring coming up, and this was the day. I went there to take pictures of the sunset (which actually I did some), but on the other side of the horizon, I hesitated in front of an unexpected moonrise. It looked gorgeous, as the air was very clear. That awesome moon, floating on the top of my long-known hills, still lit by the last sunrays, started to pour a river of memories into my mind. I could not stop the superposition of fragments of those memories, just at random… the cans of cheap beer barely hidden and the first cigarettes stolen from our parents, the many dreams about our future lives and what we would have become, the first challenges of love, no worries about tomorrow and the uncertainty about the present time.
Tonight, for a handful of minutes, I felt again the same, just until the sun faded finally behind me.
Dedicated to all of those who look in depth at the details
PS: By the way, I don't smoke (anymore) but still like beer :) It helps to remember...
