I know, it's too much, but winter is going tol last long !
Approaching Glas Allt Falls after a bit of a climb up from the shores on Loch Muick (the far end of which is visible on the left) I turn around to this sight. Glen Muick looks amazing in all seasons, but none more so than winter.
My 8th bike trip sees me climbing up from Loch Muick to Glas Allt Falls in freezing but beautiful conditions.

United States Fire-Arms Manufacturing Company, Inc. (U.S. Fire Arms Mfg. Co., ) was a privately held firearms-manufacturing firm based in Hartford, Connecticut. Originally produced single action revolvers that were clones of the Colt Single Action Army revolver.[1] The factory was located "Under the Blue Dome," the former site of the Colt East Armory, where Colt's Manufacturing Company produced many of their classic firearms in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The company no longer exists since about late 2011, and The Company was the last fire arms maker in the The Colt's Armory Complex - and the site is now seeking Historic Landmark Status.
Recorriendo bellos parajes,
de una castilla,
quizás olvidada.
Tierra durante siglos castigada,
por la acción humana,
a pesar de sus pesares,
conserva la esencia, el todo, su alma....
Muchas gracias a todos!!
Thanks a lot! :D:D:D
Another sunset picture taken on the Grand Canal. In Venice, there are many beautiful bridges and steeples.
I dont like posting lots of shots from the same location, but I liked the tones in the sea on this one so much I just had to make an exception. Just out of interest please tell me which one of my 2 Durdle door shots you like the best, thanks.
Just beyond the Falls, the creek continues to flow and ends up in the Mississippi River. There was a conveniently placed rock in the middle of this creek I just had to jump to so i didn't even have to get wet for this one.
Minnehaha Creek is a 22-mile-long (35 km) tributary of the Mississippi River that flows east from Gray's Bay Dam on Lake Minnetonka through the suburban cities of Minnetonka, Hopkins, Saint Louis Park, and Edina, and the city of Minneapolis. The creek flows over Minnehaha Falls in Minnehaha Park near its mouth at the Mississippi River.
"Reflection" - amazing art installation of mirrors by accomplished Israeli artist Dani Karavan in the One Work Gallery of the Silesian Museum in Katowice, Poland. (more here: goo.gl/6x6Gus)
The image depicts the fragment of this oustanting piece of art exactly as it is, only color and tonal adjustments have been made during postrproduction process, distortions are only the result of mirror reflections.
Shortly after the sunset "rays" of the setting sun could be seen in the sky. Some viewers can see a hidden castle in the reflections.
At the end of the road I wait for you!
Thank you so much for your views,
your comments, your faves,
but most of all for your friendship!
Enjoy life my dear friends!
Hugs, Addy and ♱ Alfie

This is the last post of this forest serie and I really look forward to more situations like this one with the fog but unfortunately there aren't nearby were I live, unless I do wake up 4 in the morning... nah not me...
The picture had purple fringing (also on some of the previously posted but in this one it was more marcant) therefore I made some heavier editing (denoise, desaturation, illuminate). Sometimes, in my modest opinion, heavier editing give an unexpected positively result and in this case I do like a lot the painterly, artistic look.
A note regarding flickr automatic tags: this time it got it right... The tree trunks do look like columns.. .like remnants of an ancient civilization....
