It forms part of the City of Arts and Sciences, and can be found at the end of Calle Luis García Berlanga. Its director is Spanish science writer and television personality, Manuel Toharia.
The building was designed by Santiago Calatrava and was built by a joint venture of Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas and Necso.[1] It opened on 13 November 2000. It is over 40,000 square meters in area and resembles the skeleton of a whale.

Some shots taken with this absolete lens. Taking conclusion that this lens is better for far away objects and landscape despite I can come really close to the objects. Really difficult to nail it with focusing and exposure and from 100 shots maybe one or two are really great. Above is not great regarding clarity and focus but it have that artsy look (the framing helped a bit) IMMO.
Exif show 50mm but that was my confirm (wrongly) when putting lens on camera.
I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks so I'm not so active till I'm back. Enjoy summer :D

Following now pictures from another sunday trip I made during autumn in the area of the Lago del Salto. Bit overexposed picture but I liked the bend/arch the branches/shadwos created over the path.

A beautiful rather than spectacular dawn at Sawley last Sunday, first time I've been out at dawn/sunrise for a few months, so I enjoyed the solitude and wonderful conditions.
This is a 2 shot landscape pano stitch.

Kaiserpalais in the Kurpark of Bad Oeynhausen
Bad Oeynhausen is a nice little town in East Westphalia, famous as a spa centre for more than a century. My favourite place in town is the Kurpark (spa gardens) with beautiful garden architecture and historical buildings of the early days of the spa era. This Saturday we made the best of the cloudy and grey weather.
There is hardly a better place in my area to enjoy a perfect Autumn day than the open-air -museum in Detmold. We spent a whole day in beautiful sunshine without a cloud in this lovely location.
The LWL-Freilichtmuseum in Detmold is a great place to learn and experience the world of our ancestors. The open-air-museum is covered with buildings, tools, animals and plants of countryside life in Northwest Germany in the last couple of centuries. An endless source of inspiration for HDR photography.
If anyone knows the name of this bug, please let me know.

In the last few years as San Diego was showing us that it is really a desert, I have been adding succulents to my tiny garden. They now fascinate me. Their blooms are not showy, but more importantly a sign of the enduring qualities of nature.
This beautiful maple trees I have seen during a bike ride with my new e-bike through Stuttgart.

Hiking in Switzerland ; Grindelwald , First , above Bachsee . No. 8975.
"It's impossible to imagine the Swiss mountain world as more idyllic than the area surrounding Lake Bachalpsee. The snow-covered peaks of the Alps are reflected in the crystal clear blue water.
First is the starting point for hikes and it offers action: An adrenaline rush and speed thrills are guaranteed on the First Flyer, trottibike scooters or bikes. Children can have fun on the 700-m² playground at the Bort intermediate station."
Die obere Bergstation heisst ebenfalls First (2'167 m ü.
