The missing piece to the historical puzzle of the Staunton Depot, although the road name doesn't match with area it's still gives that feel as if you are back in the steam area when railroading was ever so grand. 10/07/23
Trillium and Bloodroot in bloom at Morning Sky Greenery
This is my first batch of 2009 photos from Morning Sky Greenery. Sally called to say that the Trillium and Bloodroot were in bloom and wouldn't last long, so I ran out and spent about an hour shooting in the early morning. I then went back that evening to try to catch some outdoor shots, but some clouds had come in and the light was really flat. I did get a lot of equipment shots in the second greenhouse, however, with an emphasis on empty pots. I probably spent half an hour on those.
After removing the obviously broken photos, I've divided them into two groups: The "better" shots (in my opinion) and the rest (which is this set).
Sally, et al, should go through these and identify photos that they like/think they can use. Please also tell me when there are gaps or styles that you need and which are missing. I tend to shoot a very particular way when left to my own devices (lots of close-ups, for example), and if you need something else definitely speak up!
I've spent most of two hours moving today's photos to the computer, filtering out the obviously broken shots, and uploading the rest to Flickr for Sally to look at.

The 1930's Good-Latimer Expressway Tunnel was demolished in late 2006 to accommodate the construction of a DART light rail line. This bridge adorned with graffiti, murals, and artwork was the landmark entrance to Dallas' historic arts district, Deep Ellum.
Deep Ellum originally became popular during the 1920s and 1930s as the prime jazz and blues hotspot in the south. Artists such as Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, Huddie “Leadbelly” Ledbetter, and Bessie Smith played in original Deep Ellum clubs such as The Harlem and The Palace.

Good result and I'm hoping the new defensive buys will increase competition and improve the defence. We are definitely missing Gareth Barry's rarely noticed influence on games. I thought FOY had a shocker.. Bad refereeing... It seemed he ducked loads of decisions in our favour and blew for QPR all the time..

An angular unconformity at Botanical Beach.
Black phyllite of the Leech River Schist, interpreted as metamorphosed distal turbidites of Cretaceous age (~145–66 million years ago), underlay the Oligocene (~33.9 million to 23 million years ago) sandstones which have been deposited on top. At it's minimum that's roughly 32 million years of missing time.

Next to the overgrown St Andrew's dock, is a cluster of derelict buildings. This is one of them, often referred to as Globe Engineering. It would have housed other businesses in the past.
Clearly this place was once very impressive. Heavy wooden doors and remains of paneling were everywhere. Glass was smashed in the doors, but it was possible to make out occasional words. Private, Accounts, Cashier
