Today the first day of summer and the longest day of the year, all the spring wildflowers are now long gone, but their seeds remain and with a little rain and sun, maybe next year, they will return.

Strange title, Why
The Worsley Delph is currently being refurbished /redeveloped, the bridge linking the Nailmakers cottage & the Packet House has been removed to allow contractors equipment through this small inlet, only the steps remain on the left bank
The bridge is known locally as the Alphabet Bridge due to its 26 planks, which were used by children to practice the letters of the alphabet.
Now i´m so lost without you, now you´re not here and now i know that lonely is the night when i´m not with you

This is yet another image from years past of the Wood Shoe Tulip Fields near Woodburn Oregon. I can't imagine all those flowers just sitting there right now with no one around. I like to think that sunburst is the light at the end of the tunnel, but I keep telling my wife we need to cancel the big summer trip. I don't think its going to happen. All we can do is stay safe.
It's so long since I last posted a goldfinch image that I didn't even have an album for one.
This is another bird that regularly visits my garden and as a result I tend to take them for granted.
Time to redress the balance.
