I am sharing this rose today for my daughter, Jenna. She moved 3,000 miles from home yesterday and I miss her constantly. It is just the center of the rose; as she is the center of my life. The beads of water are for the tears I shed in missing her.

Our cat Musti is missing for four days now. We are so worried and we miss him a lot. He was my best friend in the garden for the last fifteen years. Musti, where are you?

One of our still functioning pottery manufacturers, Heron Cross Pottery Limited whose factory sits between Chilton Street and Hines Street, Heron Cross, Stoke-on-Trent, still producing earthen ware goods whilst many of its competitors have ceased to trade.

This potbank, constructed in and around 1876 by Hines Brothers on what was a former colliery, was originally a three storey range but was remodelled following a fire. This part of the factory (range) along with the associated bottle kiln is grade II listed.

It was bought by Grimwades Pottery in 1907 and carried on production until World war 2 when it was requisitioned by the goverment to store mines and bully beef (an unusual combination). It was purchased in 1961 by Frank William Ridge Senior and is still operated by the family, the current owner being Christopher Ridge.

As can be seen, the bottle kiln has been incorporated into the factory.

Also visible on this elevation is the ghost sign for the one time Frit Kiln Restaurant. The lower sign board used to read "Heron Cross Pottery".

This is an out take from my 365 project last year. I was standing in the smokies,on peregrine point, overlooking the snow covered mountains. So today I have to go back to work from my baby vacation, and I realize I am missing a few things,the self portrait project, the hiking in the smokies, my family today but mostly a full nights sleep

I bet some of you people in the frigid cold are missing it too...

I Miss Monsoons back home in Kerala...

Couldnt even bring myself to look at Anoop Negi's monsoon laden Let it Rain! Goan seascape yesterday! (Ok! I exagerrated a little!;),but hey, that was an amazing image!)

This picture was taken during the Discover Planet Group meet in April 2010.Meeting friends and shooting in backwaters ...that was great fun.Taken with my P&S, the afternoon light was extremely harsh and i felt texture overlay could help bring the image to better quality.I love that light on the hull:)

Thought of posting this yesterday but i didnt want to upload this picture, because the flickr resolution made it bleary and soft..then(may be i didnt know how to process it to flickr's satisfaction!) .but it looks better in flickr's new avtar today...Do you think so?

Very old cement railing. This property is in Young America Wisconsin near West Bend. It is across from the Sukow Mill which was established in 1857. My guess is this property is also pre Civil War.

Another shot that was made during the stay in the camouflage blind (see picture underneath the sandpiper shot. This is the female Kingfisher bringing fish to the chicks. You can clearly see that the burden of bringing up two nests of chicks is starting to show..

Unfortunately, according to M, she seems to have vanished for already a week now. Hope she's alright.
