A cute, common and cooperative jumping spider which can be found on low vegetation in gardens. Been trying hard to figure out the ID of this cute spider, could this actually be the female of a Carrhotus sannio? If it is then the common name may have to be changed haha :p

When I was out walking the other day I came across that rarest of specimens -
Ovarias orientalis x cadburianii.
"More commonly known as the 'Easter Egg Tree', this rare specimen is a
native of North America and Eurasia. An evergreen tree growing to 15m by 10m
at a fast rate. It is hardy to zone 2. It is in leaf all year, in flower in March-May, and
the seeds ripen from February to April. The flowers are monoecious (individual
flowers are either male or female, but both sexes can be found on the same
plant) and are pollinated by wind. The plant is not self-fertile. It is noted for
attracting wildlife and young children.
The plant prefers light (sandy) and medium (loamy) soils; it requires well-
drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil. The plant prefers acid,
neutral and basic (alkaline) soils and cannot grow in very acid and very alkaline
soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It requires
'dry-moist' or wet soil and cannot tolerate drought. The plant can tolerate maritime
exposure. It cannot tolerate atmospheric pollution.
Due to its scarce populations this tree is protected worldwide."
I am told that you can tell when the eggs are ripe by the intensity of colour they
display - these were almost ready and had a really sweet chocolatey taste
with a sticky creamy filling ...
A very Happy Easter to you all
