2016.11.25 Bologna, Italy
The Portico of San Luca is one of the longest arcades in the world. The arcade is 3.5 km long and has 666 arcades. It connects the Porta Saragozza with the San Luca Sanctuary, on Colle della Guardia. The Sanctuary was meant to house a miraculous icon of the virgin. The arcade was meant to protect the icon as it was paraded up the hill. A yearly procession proceed from the church of San Pietro in the center of Bologna to the Sanctuary along this path. Originally the arches held icons or chapels erected by the patron family.

Am letzten Herbsttags Abends wo noch die letzten Sonnenstrahlen schienen, mitten im Ruhrgebiet Bochum Hordel machte ich dieses wunderschöne Herbstbild, als ich von meinen Herbstspaziergang zurückkehrte. Während in Bayern sehr viel Natur zerstört wird, werden im Ruhrgebiet sehr viel Bäume gepflanzt, und es entstehen sehr viele Natur-Wohlfühl-Oasen. Viel Spaß beim Betrachten.
On the last autumn evening, when the last rays of the sun were shining, in the middle of the Ruhr district of Bochum Hordel I made this beautiful autumn picture when I returned from my autumn walk. While a lot of nature is destroyed in Bavaria, a lot of trees are planted in the Ruhr area, and many natural oasis of well-being are created. Have fun viewing.

Tras 3 años recorriendo los parajes de la península ibérica, viendo maravillas naturales y disfrutando de cada aventura vivida, decidí recorrer la costa atlántica de Portugal. Un lugar desconocido para mí, pero tras lo que me había contado la gente tenía unas expectativas muy altas, y he de asumir que la experiencia estuvo muy por encima de éstas. De camino a Oporto nos dijeron que debíamos pasar a visitar esta maravilla de Capilla, “Capela do Senhor da Pedra”. Llegamos al lugar justo antes de comer, las olas estaban golpeando el edificio como jamás había visto yo nunca, que belleza, una de las escenas más bellas que haya visto jamás. Se me quito el hambre inmediatamente y a pesar de ello fuí a comer, pero tras ese momento no se me pudo quitar de la cabeza la Capilla y sobre todo como tratar de fotografiarla de la manera que más me permitiera expresar lo que estaba sintiendo y experimentando. Reflexionando acerca de esto me di cuenta de que en esta ocasión no estaba utilizando una roca o una montaña de fondo en esta ocasión era una capilla, algo relacionado con la religión, entonces se me vino a la mente tratar de mostrarla de una manera mística, misteriosa. Tras realizar diversas tomas de prueba llegue a la conclusión de que debía meterme en el agua para realizar la imagen, utilizando en de primer plano el agua, pero para ello tenía que meterme en el agua del océano atlántico un día de invierno en el cuál el mar no estaba ni mucho menos tranquilo. Puede parecer una locura, pero en ese momento tenía claro que esa era la mejor composición y bueno todavía lo pienso. Me puse el vadeador y me metí al agua. Con el trípode puesto ya en la cámara, el portafiltros con dos filtros y el disparador en la mano. Comencé buscando primeros planos interesantes y la verdad es que todos y cada uno me parecían interesantes, las olas me golpeaban levantaba lo más que podía la cámara, en definitiva, estaba bastante emocionado y no podía pensar mucho, entonces comencé a hacer fotos a las primeras rocas por las que pasaba y viendo los resultados analizar y ver que necesitaba la imagen. Tras unas cuantas pruebas descubrí la roca que tenemos a la izquierda en la imagen. Una roca casi solitaria para el lugar en el que estaba, que estaba lleno y que permitía jugar con los espacios vacíos tanto de la parte derecha de abajo como la parte de arriba izquierda y así crear una diagonal que ofreciese toda la importancia a la capilla. Pero en ese momento comenzó a subir la marea y experimenté una sensación bastante grande, el agua tiraba de mi hacia dentro a punto de entrarme por el vadeaor y con la cámara en el trípode montada, sin poder hacer mucho. Entonces me apoyé como pude a la roca de la misma imagen y resistí la fuerza de arrastre del agua con bastante fortuna, una vez la marea volvió a la normalidad y esta vez teniendo bastante prisa por hacer la foto y con miedo de que volviese una ola, coloqué el trípode, el filtro en la posición que deseaba, y comencé a disparar, en esta ocasión obtuve lo que buscaba y salí a la orilla con bastante prisa y muy emocionado por la experiencia vívida. Aprendí una buena lección, no hay mejor foto que puedas hacer, que aquella que te hace sentir que estás vivo.

It was the fifth in a series of 15 ships that were built from 1956 to 1961 on the Warnow Werft in Warnemünde.
