Sorry I am a little busy at the moment to spend much time on flickr or processing new images
As the light shone through the fog and the twisted snowgums
I moved around and shot many panos before it lifted
This is a six shot stitch
Moltketurm on top of the Wiehengebirge near Porta Westfalica.
October waved goodby with sunshine and warm tempereratures and we used the perfect weather for an extended hiking tour on the Wittedindsweg, a crest trail on the Wiehengebirge from Porta Westfalica in the East to the Osnabrück area in the West. Before the sun went down we visited the most interesting spots of the Eastern part of the trail.
Enjoying some solitude at the punch bowl waterfall. I'm sure later in the day this place was crawling with people. But early in the morning, I had it all to myself.
A close look at the south pier across the harbor entrance shows several ghosted images of other sunset and ice admirers.

A knight carries spears used in a joust at this year's Michigan Renaissance Festival, near Holly, Michigan. And he's walking beside a high wooden fence for Fence Friday too. :-)
HFF!
The weather forecast announced a snow storm for last night, at least my home town was not concerned. Nevertheless Winter will hopp in with temperatures significantly below zero day and night the next couple of days. Looks like real Winter shots will become reality next week. I climbed the icy steps of the St. Joseph Lighthouse to get different perspective of the sunset over Lake Michigan. I had to crop the image more than I wanted to because the right and lower margins didn't fare well while the pano was being constructed in Photoshop.
