Hydraulic at High Falls
There’s a point about midway on High Falls at DuPont State Forest where water converges from several points onto a rock that shoots a rooster tail plume out from the hydraulic. Part of that area was in sunlight while the rest was in shade, though reflecting the blue sky from varying angles. I thought it looked kind of artsy through the lens... this image is mostly that of water, yet it still has a great sense of depth and form.
The Carolina blue here reminds me... the University of North Carolina Tar Heels are playing the Michigan State University Spartans aboard the USS Carl Vinson for the first ever "Quicken Loans Carrier Classic" basketball game on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2011... ought to be a phenominal game, though I'd hate to be the one to shag after the balls that go over the side. UNC's ranked #1 in the nation in the preseason, which is never good in my opinion, as #1 preseason teams rarely go on to win the NCAA tournament. It also means the Spartans will enjoy being the first to take down a #1 team, especially UNC... they'll have something to prove. All I can say is "Go Heels!"
*Update*... Carolina wins 67-55.
Thank a veteran today for the peace and freedom we enjoy!
