Stranger #36 – Ornella
I saw Ornella flanked by her friends, flying in tight formation, headed towards me. I set a course to intercept them. I hailed them and asked Ornella whether she’d like to take part in my project.
Ornella is in her 2nd year of prep school specialising in mathematics in order to work in aviation. When she was 6, Ornella went to the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, seeing all the planes made her passion for aviation take off. After a short refuel, her passion took off again when she was in high school and seems in cruise flight. Ornella doesn’t see her future in France, she’d like to be in Canada, in Toronto. As she said: “Why not visit elsewhere?” I asked her what was most challenging recently for her. “I have doubts sometimes, there’s an ongoing battle between the workload asked of me and my laziness.”

J’ai vu Ornella, flanquée de ses amis, volant en formation serrée cap dans ma direction. J’ai calculé une trajectoire pour les intercepter. Je les ai hélé et j’ai demandé à Ornella si elle aimerait participer à mon projet.
Ornella est en deuxième année de prépa Maths spé dans le but de travailler dans l’aviation. Lorsqu’elle avait 6 ans, Ornella est allée au salon du Bourget et le fait de voir tout ces avions a fait décoller sa passion pour l’aviation. Après une escale, sa passion a redécollé quand elle était au lycée et semble être en vol de croisière. Ornella ne voit pas son futur en France, elle aimerait vivre au Canada, à Toronto. Comme elle l’a dit « Pourquoi pas visiter ailleurs ? » Je lui ai demandé ce qui lui posait le plus de difficultés en ce moment. « J’ai des doutes quelques fois, il y a une bataille entre le travail demandé et ma flemme. »
