walk through the shadows and into the light

Looking forward to the weekend :--)

Made EXPLORE #40 - thanks everyone

This beach - Stradbally near Dungarven, Co. Waterford, Ireland - is long and sweeping down to the sea. It's stunning. This is taken about half way down already and although exaggerated by the wide angle, it's a lovely wide, very deep beach. Taken right on the last day of my 'summer' holiday, it captures everything that's great about Irish beaches. We sat a couple of hours reading the paper until the clouds got really heavy. Pity we did not have our dog, Pepe, he'd have loved it.

Thanks to everyone who viewed and commented on my last shot which made flickr Explore front page :-)

A grain of sand in the beach life set.

Also seen in the Ireland set.

> for the techies: it's a single, hand-held exposure raw file, turned into pseudo HDR by Photomatrix and tonemapped using my special formula. Then post production in Adobe Elements 6 to crop and add a hint of Orton for drama.
