[13/52 2020] Social Distancing
Second Best "52 Weeks Project"
Since I have been joining the 52 Weeks Project on Flickr it has happened several times that I had to chose between two or more self portraits that week. A difficult choice. The solution is to create a set of all good alternatives. Life is full of choices and sometimes a week has too much opportunities. This is one of those alternatives, the second best. And sometimes just as good.
Although I had already posted two "52 Weeks" selfies in week 13, there was still an opportunity that I wanted to make public. In good company, focused on current world situation and with beautiful soft light...
Location: Overloopplantoen, Plantage Muidergracht corner Plantage Kerklaan.
Coordinates: 52°36'60" N 4°90'89" E
Reason: Due to the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) one of the measures to fight the virus is social distancing in between people. Since 20/03/2020 my collegues and me have no work on Thalys as Train Managers for the moment and we came up with the idea of meeting in a public area and drink our own cpffee to be at least together for an hour or so. And so happened. We call it Drinking coffee remotely respecting the minimum of 1.5 meters in between us. The first time was on Sunday 22/03/2020 on the jetty on the Amstel in front of the Hermitage Museum. This week this beautiful spot near the Hortus Botanicus.
Guest Stars: Jan, Ingrid, Jan-Pieter and Pieter-Paul.
Tradition: As long as the crisis lasts we might make this a tradition on Sunday at 11h59 sharp!
Covid-19: Photo taken the same week of the the "intelligent lock down" in the Netherlands started to fight the corona virus. No more gathering, social distancing of 1m50 and washing your hands regulary. #stayhome #flattenthecurve
Official "52 Weeks" this week: 13/52 Ghost Town
The Other Alternative "52-Weeks": [13/52 2020] Overdiemen
To Listen: Imagine Dragons - Next To Me (Youtube)
Weather: Partly cloudy, windy and 7° C
Self-portrait technics: Joby portable gorillapod placed on a concrete round piece of concrete in the middle of this little park.
