Maria
Maria was the second stranger portrait I took in Brighton with my little Nikon camera. She was sitting outside a restaurant with her friend. I don't usually interrupt people in such a situation but I had spotted Maria as a great subject for a portrait earlier and I was encouraged by Matthew, my previous stranger, agreeing to be photographed so I decided to ask her. I'm not sure if Maria was very keen but she did agree so I took a couple of shots. I liked this one best, even though I don't think it is quite in focus. Maria is from Greece and is at Brighton sudying Biomedical Science at the University.
This is the 5th photo I've added to the Human Family Flickr Group and #106 in my second round of the 100 Strangers project.
