Green Shirt Day / 2025 Media Launch
On Wednesday, I was invited to present the new logo and my story at the Green Shirt Day media launch in Edmonton.
Communicating was sometimes overwhelming because it was from my hometown — and when the crash happened — it was a very emotional time for a lot of people that grew up in Humboldt.
Below is the script:

"Hello, I’m Geoffery Kehrig and I’m grateful for the opportunity
to be here.
The 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash opened a lot of memories for me. I grew up in Humboldt, Saskatchewan — and I’m a HUGE hockey fan. And the Humboldt Broncos were THE superstars of my hometown. I’m a registered organ donor and I feel Logan Boulet’s story is a powerful legacy for our communities and our country.
While researching, I saw a dynamic image of Logan taking a slapshot. My design was also inspired by the silhouettes of
Terry Fox that are often used on T-Shirts for the Terry Fox Run. Terry Fox was an elite athlete and he selflessly gave for the
benefit of others in raising awareness and money for cancer
research. I see parallels with Logan Boulet’s selfless and
unexpected contributions in raising awareness for organ &
tissue donations.
Reverence. Honour. Courage. Compassion.
This simple, iconic image of Logan Boulet with his number “27” captures the transformative energy of the “Logan Boulet Effect” — and it also honours the Broncos’ players & staff from the tragic bus crash.
Their names, stories will always be remembered for the beauty, love & joy they gave to the game of hockey, their families, the spirit of sport, and my hometown of Humboldt.
If you haven’t, please think about becoming a registered organ donor. April 7th is Green Shirt Day. Please get your green shirt or jersey to support. Thank You" #LoganBouletEffect #GreenShirtDay #HumboldtStrong
