This marked my fourth time seeing Eddie Izzard in person. He'd just come back from celebrating the anniversary of D-Day in France... literally the night before... where he performed an abreviated version of his show in triplicate. Once in English, once in French, and once in German. It's not uncommon for him to slip into French for a joke, or even a bit of German, while giving an English performance, but on this night, he told an entire joke in German. And thanks to his incredible delivery, we all actually got it and laughed. And when it was done, he said, "Well done, Chicago." LOVE this man!
