06-02-14 Bambi!
I was about to head out to buy groceries this morning, when I spotted this babe and his (her?) mama checking out our backyard. I'm pretty sure that they live in the woods behind our house. Luckily, my long lens was handy, and though I (of course) missed the ideal pose of the two of them together, this one was a pretty good second. Bambi here was checking out a squirrel under The Girl's slide. When the squirrel took off in a flurry of mulch, Bambi jumped back, if just for a moment, then resumed exploration of the land. Though this image was captured through my family room window, I was allowed to take a few other (not so clear) snaps on the other side of the glass as well.
