"Song of Spring" - Steven Higgins, Washington, USA, 2010. FIRST PLACE
In 2011, Tony and I took a trip through Canada and Alaska, along the 'Alcan' or 'Alaska' Highway. Our trip took us through a small town in British Columbia called Chetwynd. We had no prior knowledge of the wonderful tradition that transforms this town into a WORLD CLASS Chainsaw Carving event each year. This image is an example of the sculptures we saw: The winner of the 2010 contest. We vowed to come back and watch the contest someday...all four days of it!
