2006-storm

apparently, it was a tornado that hit Grindstone Island late in the afternoon of tuesday july 25th, 2006. we weren't here; we 'd gone into town to reprovision. Slate weathered the storm by himself -- and was soaked through when we got back. he's fine, though a bit clingy.

cleanup began in earnest wed. morning. friends with chain saws came friday-sunday. we're still digging out...
