'Wild-Camping Night-Skies' - Glyder Fach, Snowdonia

The milky way arching across the north-south horizon above our wild-camp for the night on the summit of Glyder Fach in Snowdonia, taken shortly before dawn this morning..

 

As Visit Wales motto for 2016 is 'Year of Adventure' and they invite you to get out there and #findyourepic - this particular trip certainly seemed to fit that bill...

 

We hiked up to the summit arriving at the end of golden hour for the sunset in the evening, before making camp and settling down for what was going to be a cold night ahead in the snow.

 

Before long enough there was already fresh snow falling around us at midnight, covering the tents in snow, before the skies cleared and gave us a superb view of the night skies and milky way above. The sunrise that followed a couple of hours later was nothing less than spectacular too - an incredible, epic trip in the mountains of Snowdonia...
