It's life Jim....
Kill me now....
This was going to be "Death by Chocolate", but due to an accident with a blender, "Kill me now" is more appropriate.
The cake was simply purchased from Waitrose, but the Chocolate Mousse was something I created.... and normally this dessert is dead easy to make, but this time I didn't put the blender lid on properly & there was hot chocolate mix all over the damn kitchen. The boss was not pleased :-(
Recipe as follows:
250g of dark chocolate (ideally orange infused)
10fl oz double cream
10 fl oz full fat milk
2 eggs
Crumble chocolate into blender
heat milk & cream - add to blender
add eggs to blender
PUT LID ON BLENDER !!!!
turn blender on
whizz until creamy
pour into espresso cups / shot glass or similar (half full)
Place in fridge until set (2-3 hours)
To serve, add more double cream to espresso cup. Dig spoon in & consume rapturously.
Background on the shot:
LE52 project wk 6 - Square format chocolate picture to go on Café menu.
(Alternate shot in comments)
(I really should do wk 5 but having trouble with the weather assignment)
Things learnt during this shoot.
1 - PUT LID ON BLENDER
2 - Don't get chocolate fingerprints on glass or table or camera
3 - Make enough to consume large volumes after shoot finished (Doing #1 properly will help with this)
42/365:2011 - 11th Feb
Feb ABC - K is for "Kill me now"
FGR - Blurry shit
Cliché Saturday - Food shots
