Zig zag

Explore #1 04/08/2020

Zig zag - Known locally as 'The Blocks', the quirky, yet iconic breakwater on the outer sea wall at St Monans, is irresistible to photograph as it zig zags on its way out into the Firth of Forth.

Invisible from the harbour and shore and can only be found whilst clambering onto and peering over the harbour wall, it has a magnetic charm, one can spend ages watching the sea crashing against the breakwater as long exposures work their ethereal magic.

Captured on a very recent visit north of the border, fortunately timed at a high spring tide when The Blocks are at their photogenic best.
