Rhapsody In Blue

Rhapsody In Blue is a concerto for piano and orchestra written in three weeks by George Gershwin in 1924 for a concert entitled "An Experiment in Modern Music". Gershwin himself performed it at the premiere.
The piece is also greatly associated with the late great Larry Adler, a virtuoso harmonica player and Oscar nominee, hence here we have a diatonic harmonica, captured as shown using a 12mm extension tube. A blue gradient was added through Photoshop as a nod to Mr Adler's virtuosity and to the popularity of the instrument in blues music. A layer mask was used to retrieve the original colouring of the wood around the holes.
