I’m no longer in Patagonia but I’m still in South America. I certainly left my heart in Patagonia, but the 5.6 magnitude earthquake I woke up to this morning reminded me that it’s time to get home. I experienced it all in Patagonia: rain, sleet, snow, sunshine, crazy wind, great light, bad light, earthquakes, and everything else in between. Fall was in full bloom, though. I could not have hoped for better conditions. I captured this image near Mt. Fitz Roy in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. I got it all here. Great light. Fall colors. Alpine peaks (Val Bois, Mermoz, and Guillaumet). And the Piedras Blancas glacier and lake. A cornucopia of beauty.
