a walk down by the river catches my mood

One of the many section of the Mira de Aire caves, the largest in Portugal. With 11km of extension.

This section carved by an underground river sometimes during heavy rains can be flooded.

sort of jumping ahead here and not following the chronological order of my photos but I think that’s ok because I wanted to mix it up a little.

We had just come off the back of a few days of wild weather, mind you, it had helped to create some interesting photographic conditions but none of which were all too pleasant.

None-the-less, that was behind us. For the first time the wind had all but dropped off and the skies weren’t looking menacing. Jake, Bruce Trent and I decided to venture down onto the shores Lake Pehoe to try and find something a little different. Before too long each of us had managed to scout out a composition we were pretty happy with and had settled in for the afternoon.

This was mine…

The rawness of Patagonia can be hard to capture in photographs. It feels untamed and real so I tried hard to find a way to carry that feeling across in this image.

There’s a behind the scenes video from this shoot, filmed on location shortly before the sun went down. Jump over to my facebook page at www.facebook.com/jaydaleyphotography to check it out.

View large and, as always, thanks for looking!

Here's a shot of my last vacation in the mountains ! Here we are on the refuge Bruno Boz near Mezzano ( TN ) , right in the middle of this natural wonder by the name of the Dolomites ! My shooting is carried out early in the afternoon , but the post production is the work of my beautiful girlfriend , Serena Zilio ! Really good ! Take a look at her portfolio to the following link www.flickr.com/photos/serenazilio/

Let me know what do you think!

Bye my friends!

I promise! The flowers are gone, only the green seedheads remain. Hoping for some poppies soon. Long live Spring and Summer!

This is a postcard for Beverley, who wanted one of Jamie, but as yet I haven't been able to find him. This was the sky that greeted me just after England had scored the last penalty against Columbia to qualify for the world Cup Quarter Finals. Sail away by Nick Cave seems appropriate for Beverley. She'd just love these beaches . The sunrise this morning was equally dramatic, too many opportunities, so little sleep .

All day yesterday as we drove about in the mountains shooting the autumn aspen splendor I kept smelling homemade bread dough. :) I think the set aspen leaves on the road were the scent. LOVELY!

Oberg Mountain is a 3 mile moderate hike. High overlooks along Oberg give wonderful views of Lake Superior, Oberg Lake and Moose Mountain.

I was disappointed when I saw that most of the trees were beyond peak colors. It was still a fun hike on a nice fall day.

A nifty remix of the original @ www.flickr.com/photos/mtch3l/14342662340/ by mtch31.

Changed up the lighting in this photo, added a blue colour cast to the sky / water areas, a slight Orton Effect to the greenery and played around with the depth using some dodge / burn techniques. Also did some white noise removal + targeted sharpening in parts of the photo.

Thanks for sharing this one under the CC licence mtch31! Fantastic photo + composition.
