CHAPTER 4

In the beginning she came to him in his dreams softly, dark and alone. But Link was never able to reach her. She was always just beyond and always silent. Years had passed since his last adventure. Years since he heard any calling, settling into a quiet happiness and proudly hanging up his boots. But now night after night he peered through the dream glass with wonder… waking to feel sad and alone. Knowing something on the edge, something he couldnt see yet, was wrong…. This night was no different from the others under the new moon. Sleep took him quickly and the dream came. Only this night Link had buisness, knowing he must find an answer. With all his might he pressed for the glass, dragging what seemed the whole world behind him. Hours passed until exhausted he finally reached its surface. Just beyond was a woman. Hard to make out throught the swirling mist but she was there. Link pounded on the glass screaming for her to help. Pleading for an answer to what was coming…. It was no use. She would not speak…. Link paused and peeered through the glass.. he knew he was waking, knew he didn’t have long. He could feel the sunrise. He fought to stay but he knew he couldn’t. Slowly his skin grew warm, and slowly she began to fade. But at the last second she reached out. Softly saying: “She has been taken, so she no longer sings. Find her Link. You must find her. You must bring her back”….
