A prayer of peace
May we seek the truth, and speak it quietly.
May we listen for truth in the words of others with open minds and hearts.
And may we always remember the peace that may be found in silence.
(From an Indian prayer)
You must speak straight so that your words may go as sunlight into our hearts. —Cochise, Chiracahua Apache
When you are in doubt, be still, and wait;
when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage.
So long as mists envelop you, be still;
be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists
-- as it surely will.
Then act with courage.

The last days of autumn in the swiss mountain world
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those were a bit wistful days when I visited the mountain lake of my dreams again, because I was out on my motorbike for the last time this year to drive through the alpine landscape of Switzerland. I knew that I would not visit this pearl of nature again for a long time. But what awaited me that day exceeded my imagination. The magical light shining through the golden larch trees was simply stunning and I couldn't turn my eyes away the entire time I was at this pearl of nature. I saw it glowing from afar and set out to capture it with my camera. I couldn't stop being amazed, because these intense colors flooded all my senses. These were moments of greatest happiness for me. I have never seen my little paradise shine in such beautiful colors. And every time I visit this lake, it looks different and surprises me anew.
At this time at the end of October, the mountain lake is only illuminated for a few hours by the sun. You have to be in the right place at the right time, nothing else matters. Consequently, it is not a great achievement to take a nice picture of this place. All the elements I photographed here were in front of me at the right moment, I just had to press the shutter button. Nothing more and nothing less. I hope you like it and that you can enjoy a little bit with me this precious moments of the last days in October, my favorite time of year. Thank you dear friends for all your kindness and wonderful friendship.
The winter months are an etching, spring are watercolors, summer are oil paintings, and autumn are mosaics of all.
–Stanley Horowitz
Planting a tree is a sign of trust in the earth, an act of hope for the future. An act of charity towards future generations who will enjoy its fruits when we are gone.
