Done! Another semi autobiographical sketch, recalling the hours I wandered in the woods and marshes as a boy, learning about nature. There were mallards in the marshes and streams and sometimes I'd flush one unexpectedly; I guess we were both surprised. I hope kids are having similar encounters with wildlife today so they can get to know each other. This is done all with a Sakura micron .05 black pen on Bordon & Riley 90 pound #310 Optimum drawing paper, which has a nice surface with enough tooth to encourage sketching but not so much as to bleed. It's fairly light though so at 18 x 24 inches it's easy to crease or wrinkle it by mistake unless you tape it down to a board :-)
