Lion cubs playing together appear to be singing a duet, arm in arm. A lioness will give birth to her litter in an isolated den. She will generally not integrate herself and the cubs into the pride for 6 to 8 weeks. During the day she will leave them to hunt for food. At times, more than one lioness from a pride will give birth at the same time. They may share their cub rearing duties, including nursing the young.
