Crossing Boundaries 1766

I marvel at the proclivity of shorebirds, none more than the Brown Pelican, traveling innately through all states of matter, whether air, water, or over earth. They can soar at great heights but just as easily glide just inches above the ocean’s surface and, without as much as a wingbeat, use air currents to glide up over a wave and drop back behind it. From loftiness they dive, with a splash, into the sea to capture a fish below the surface, easily crossing boundaries insurmountable by the multiform minions. In wildlife photography there is a general premise that subjects in a photo should not cross boundaries- like horizons. In the case of the pelican it is a tenet seemingly at best misplaced for this majesty of crossing boundaries. #BrownPelican #Sunrise
