Sharing a Throne 5202

This bird of mystery shares a throne that has been used by other raptors this season. Although we are learning more about these mystical creatures, so much about them is still unknown. Recent research with tracking devices has found that some snowy owls actually migrate north rather than south during the winter season, while others have rarely migrated as far south as the Caribbean. One thing seems certain, their travels are linked to a search for food. An interesting article in this month's National Wildlife sheds some light on the shrouded mysteries surrounding these beautiful birds. Global warming could soon begin to affect their nesting grounds in the extreme northern arctic. That might possibly be more devastating than any changes south of their nesting grounds. They will continue to fascinate most of us, whenever they choose to grace our locations with their presence. #iLoveNature #iLoveWildlife #WildlifePhotography in #NewJersey #Nature in #America #USA #SnowyOwl #Canon #DrDADBooks #Bringit #Photography #Picoftheday #Photofotheday
