"I Am A Golden God"

 

Even though the traces of Türkmenbaşys reign slowly disappear by the day from the streets of modern Ashgabat he is still very much present in other cities such as Mary. I saw more than one golden statue of the former president for life, here seen holding a copy of his lifes work - the Ruhnama - a weird mixture of religion and general directions on how to live.
