"Monument to the Independence of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan."

We drove back to Ashgabat before we continued out in the desert. While there we checked out some more more monuments. At this time, the pill to clear my stomach (also known as the a-bomb-pill according to my generous care taker Matt) had started to work but still I felt like... Well... Shit, to tell you the truth. And besides, by now I was starting to get that "another hour, another monument" feeling that hits you when you hang out in dictatorships.

The weirdest thing that happened here, especially since seemingly no other people was out, was the wedding procession that all of a sudden appeared by the entrance of the park. The noice added some well needed action to this grand but eerily silent park.
