Good Morning from Bristol!

Explore #1

Cumberland Basin, Bristol. The highest tide of the year flooded the entrance to the docks at 9.02am this morning. It was 11.8 metres high. The bank in front of camera is submerged, as is the building controlling the locks and the gates themselves. Looking downriver, into the Avon Gorge which is spanned by the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It was serenely quiet, just me and a few hundred other snappers! Worth getting out of bed for though.
