Leupold Yosemite 6X30
Manufacturer/Model: Leupold, Yosemite 6 X 30
Field of View: 8 deg = 140 m/1,000 m; APFOV 48 deg
Weight: 485 gr
Exit Pupil: 5 mm
Serial #/Year of Manufacture: 0078929 = 2009
Notes: This has to be one of the best low cost binoculars on the market. It is nitrogen filled and waterproof and very compact. Optically, the image is extremely bright and exceptionally sharp with a neutral color tone. On the downside, image is sharp to only 60% from center if that, and stray light control is not very good. However, for use under normal daytime conditions by the casual user these are minor points far outweighed by its positives. I gave one to each of my grandchildren at Christmas, the girl getting the pink camouflage model. Later, they were very excited using them to view the moons of Jupiter.
Note: If you have a vintage binocular you either wish to sell or would just like some information about, I can be contacted at flagorio@shaw.ca .
