The Kyodai Hero is the mainstream superhero genre that is widely popular in Japan. The first and most famous Kyodai hero is ULTRAMAN who made his debut in 1960s.
SPECTREMAN was the first major Tokusatsu show of the 1970s. It was a world-wide sensation in its time. And a forerunner of the second wave of "Kyodai Hero" show in the 1970s.
