Medieval village and castle monument (Berbiguières/FR)
You might just pass by the small medieval village of Berbiguières. However, the village is full of peace and serenity, the landscape is beautiful. With a prominent 12th century castle, surrounded by a medieval village and a small church. Only the dry sounds of the church bells sound every hour.

Details
Berbiguières - Château de France
Château de Berbiguières (Est. 12th to 17th century) - a somewhat hidden castle in the Périgord Noir in the small mainly medieval village of Berbiguières. The castle was classified as a historic monument in 1948.
In the second half of the thirteenth century, Château de Berbiguières was owned by the Castelnau family, who also owned the Château de Castelnaud. In 1365, Magne de Castelnau married Nompar de Caumont. Special because later François de Caumont built Château des Milandes around 1489, the main house of the lords of Caumont, who preferred to live in this manor house instead of the large, uncomfortable medieval castle of Château de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle..
