House below the ridge of a cliff (Limeuil/FR)
Some houses in this region are build right below a huge cliff. Tons of rock right above their heads don't seem to be any threat. In fact, they have been doing this for eages and some, even ancient traces, are still visible like for example at Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil and most popular at La Roque De Gageac and the ancient village remains at Roque Saint Christophe.

Limeuil - located at the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. Historically both commercially and strategically on the highways of trade. This region: was primarily a wine-producing area for subsequent delivery downstream to Bordeaux, on large, flat-bottomed "gabarres". A very nice historical village and on the list of the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" most beautiful small villages.
