Strong wind with drifting snow, after many hours the wind subsides again. The polders show many dunes of snow, piled up on the side of ditches where the wind came from. The water seems frozen to ice but it is the large amount of snow that has fallen into the icy water.

It still retains the harbor, in medieval history connected to the North Sea, and the surrounding countryside consists of various protected nature reserves with polders, dykes and a variety of agriculture.
