Maxim's de Paris - part of the most famous and expensive Art Nouveau restaurant worldwide. Visited by guests like Aristotle Onassis (who called it his cantine), Maria Callas, the Duke of Windsor and his wife Wallis Simpson, Porfirio Rubirosa, Max Ophüls, and Barbara Hutton in the 1950s. In the 1970s, Brigitte Bardot caused a scandal when she entered the restaurant barefoot, Sylvie Vartan, John Travolta, Jeanne Moreau, Barbra Streisand and many, many others.

Carrousel du Louvre (Est. 1993) - an underground shopping mall in Paris, France. The name refers to two nearby sites, the Louvre museum and the Place du Carrousel. The mall contains a famous skylight, La Pyramide Inversée (the Inverted Pyramid), which plays an important role in the best-selling book The Da Vinci Code.

 

The mall covers 10,200 square metres. It has 33 stores and 11 restaurants. Major retail tenants include Sephora, Esprit, the first Apple Store in France, Mariage Frères Tea Emporium, Plaisirs de Paris, Swarovski, Perigot, Le Tanneur and Fossil.
