The Cornucopia of the park - Parc Asterix (Plailly/FR)
The Cornucopia of the park.
.
A very special catering facility to see is "Le Restaurant du Lac".
We think it should be named "Cornucopia" following the naming style of the park, it's indeed near to the lake but the gigantic pieces of fruit and vegetables are the most important feature and can be seen from afar. Unique in design and also very realistic up close.
The restaurant is surrounded with many tables on a large outdoor terrace permanently covered with colorful umbrellas, which gives it a summery appearance.
---
Cornucopia - in classical antiquity, the cornucopia, from Latin cornu and copia, also called the horn of plenty, was a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container overflowing with food, flowers, or nuts.
Photo October 2018, Parc Astérix (April 30, 1989) after 29 years in time.
