1) I believe a lot of people probably know this about me, but I am super against recast dolls. (don't think an elaboration is needed here, haha~)
2) I used to be against people whose parents bought dolls for them. Not because I felt that "Hey, it's your hobby, you should take of it on your own" (although that's how I see myself in this hobby), but it was more of how I've met people who treat their dolls like shit just because they weren't the ones who bought them. When I first started out I've met people like that, who had tonnes of dolls but knew nuts about them, didn't bother dressing their doll up decently, and in general had a very bad attitude towards the hobby. In recent years I've gotten to know owners and close friends who have parents buying dolls for them, yet they are matured about it and bother putting in effort into the hobby, and for that I respect them.
3) My dolls, as with anything else I own, reflects who I am, and what I like and dislike. For example, I'm living in a student hostel in Sweden now, and despite it being a very plain and default room, I've made additions that I feel would reflect "me". (My bed came with 1 pillow, and I bought 4 more and 2 blankets. This is how my bed is in SG, and even if it's temporary, things that I come into contact with on a daily basis has to reflect "me".) As with dolls, I like gold, so J likes gold. I like fur, so they have many fur coats. I like leopard prints, so V likes them. I love basketball, so Ying and Kaji like bball. Haha.
4) Furwigs are always number 1 choice for me! I think I'm very very bad with fibre wigs, and find it really hard to make my boys look good in them :S
5) Jasper will always hold #1 spot in my heart.
6) I always told myself to buy dolls only when I have a character for them (Most of the time these characters revolve around J, haha). In recent times, however, I found myself buying dolls because I liked the sculpt (Dion! Seoha! Hahwa!), and all but Seoha didn't work out.
7) In my dolly world, I have 2 overarching storylines, sort of. One consists of the family life of the Atobe brothers (the red heads), and the other a more, err, holistic storyline with J, Ying, V, Kaji, Takagi. Then I have Caleb who is not really anywhere, but I just really like him as his architect self :> Storyline 1 and 2 are connected, somewhat, because Satoru knows Ying and Kaji from school, and Rieru knows Jasper from when J was a host. Oh, the complex world in my head. XDD
8) (I'm kinda running out of things to say...) Oh! Gou. I actually really like Gou as a character, but I haven't found a suitable sculpt for him :< Yet. The tony is still the best candidate, so I may just get him renewed and repainted and etc. I've looked at other sculpts like Crobi YS and Dollshe Hound/Rosens, but.. not quite. /:
9) Pet peeve of mine: When dolls don't wear shoes! At meets!! D: Especially if the outfit is so pretty and then you look down and, NO SHOES. OMG. Messy hair is another thing that might put me off, slightly XDD
10) C'mon last one last one Hmm, I don't really have a "grail doll" concept. There are dolls that I would love to have, Swd Lucas and Lucas 1st for example, but I'm not actively looking for it. Haha.
