2015...(Top 10 Movies & TV Series)

Wow, I can't believe the Year is already at an end! And I mean, what a year it has been.

So, I thought to celebrate this great year, I would count down my Top 10 favourite Movies of 2015, and to end this, I would tell you my Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2016!

Now, before I get started, I want to give a huge shotout to my two best friends here on Flickr

Brandon / The Filmgmr &

Chris / Supremedalekdunn

They have been really supportive of me this year, and numerous times when I was thinking about dropping roles, those two got me back into it, so please - if you havn't already - check them out! They would really appreciate it. :)

Now, without further delay, let's get into this!

10 The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

I'm a huge sucker for Cold War stuff. Movies, books, TV series, give it to me babe! So when I first heard about this movie, I got excited. Then I saw the trailers. Even more excited. Did the movie live up to that? Ehhh. Yes and no, I guess. It had great sets, I thought the acting was very good. But the story? Anyone who has ever seen one of the old Bond movies knows this plot. So really, the plot wasn't anything. The Characters were very good, and the Actors were too. I loved Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill together. So overall, I enjoyed this movie, but it's not exactly a masterpiece. 7/10

9 Mad Max: Fury Road

Okay, okay, before you fanboys all start attacking me for not having this movie #1, let me explain why this movie is here. :P

So this movie is definitley one of the best action movies of all time. No doubt about it. But if you watch it, and want a story that fascinates you, and pulls you in. You're out of luck. And I guess that's something that I missed about this movie. I mean the visual storytelling is brilliant and all but IDK...for me something was missing. For Action Movie lovers, this is basically heaven. And I would definitley not call this movie a "dumb Action flick" or anything like that, beccause - again - visual storytelling in this is great. So overall I enjoyed this movie emensly, but the more you think about the story and all, it loses it's "awesomeness". 7.9/10

8 Spectre

Right, here come all the "how could you put Spectre over Fury Road" Well, I thought it was a better movie. The story won't win any oscars or anything either, but it pulled me in. Of course that might be, because Goldfinger was the first 'real' Movie I ever watched, so of course I have a big heart for Bond. Now, I hugely enjoyed this movie. Christopher Waltz is a fantastic villain, BUT HE WAS SO UNDERUSED! That's my main complain about this movie. They got one of the best Villain actors, and they didn't use him enough! Honestly apart from that, I greatly enjoyed this movie, I loved the way they (spoiler alert if you havn't seen the movie) introduced Blofeld, and I also liked how they portraid M in this as well. 8/10 Spoiler over

#7 Jurassic World

I love the original Jurassic Park. I thought the second one was okay, and the third one horrible. So when I heard they were making a 4th one? I wasn't overly excited, but I was willing to see how it was going to be. And to be honest...I enjoyed it. I thought it was a nice nod to the original, especially all the easter eggs. The idea of the hybrid was very intriguning. Of course if you want to critiscise this movie, you could say "why the fuck are they still building these parks!" But really, that's the only complain I've got. Visuals were great, story also wasn't anything new, but the whole Hybrid thing did mix things up a bit. 8.1/10

#6 Marvel's Ant-Man

Okay, don't hate me but I prefer this movie over Guardians. :P

I loved how 'small' this movie was. (No pun intended) It was just a Heist Movie, with a Superhero. And it worked so perfectly! I loved Paul Rudd as Scott, he was a fantastic Ant-Man. Michael Douglas as Hank, perfect as well. But let's face it, the real star of the show, was Michael Pena. His character was witty, and funny. And not really racist either.

Honestly, this movie just proves that Marvel can do anything, no matter how much butthurt DC fanboys try to hate on this movie. :P The visuals were great, I loved the scene(s) where Scott was in the Ant Hill, and in fact, that was probably my favourite scene of the whole movie. 8.7/10

#5 Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron

This movie split critics and fans in two. Some love it, some hate it. Me? I like it. It's not the Avengers sequel we expected, and I think that's why people don't like it. The Trailer showed us something, we got really hyped, then the next trailer came. More Hype! Then next one, MORE HYPE!!! Etc, etc. Then the movie came, and...it was different from what we expected. That's why some people don't like it. When I first watched it, I felt the same. I was disapointed. But then I watched it again, and I looked on it differently. I enjoyed it. It wasn't the sequel we were expecting, and that threw people off. So I would suggest to those that didn't like it, watch it again. And try not to watch it as an Avengers Sequel, but more as a Comic Book movie. 8.9/10

#4 Kingsman: The Secret Service

Originally this was my favourite movie of 2015, but then so many more good movies came out, this was set back to #4, and that's kinda sad, beccause this is a trully brilliant movie. I love Spy movies, and I loved how this movie kinda made fun of that. I loved so much during this movie. For my liking they could've toned down a bit on the Gore, and bad language, but I read the Graphic Novel and both of those things are there, so I think considering that, it worked well enough. I love Kick-Ass, so I extremly excited for this movie. And did my hype die down after seing this movie? Nope. It was exactly what I had expected, and yet it suprised me too. That's what a movie should do. 9.4/10

#3 Inside Out

Oh Pixar, stop making me cry during your movies! This was such a beautiful movie. When I had first heard of the premise, I was so intrigued, and my god, when the trailer came out...I absolutely love that scene in the movie, it's so great. I actually think this movie is more directed towards Teens and Adults rather than Kids. And when I was in the Cinema, there were a couple of kids in front of me, and a couple of times I could see they were actually bored, because they didn't get it. Nowadays whenever I feel one of those emotions IRL I can actually see Joy/Anger/Sadness/Fear/Disgust on the control panel. And that is amazing, because I don't think any other movie has ever touched me like that. I laughed, I cried, it's just such a beautiful Movie... 9.5/10

#2 Bridge of Spies

I'm not sure how many of you have actually seen this movie, but I would greatly recommend it. I really hope this wins an Oscar or something, because it is a truly great film. Like I said with TMFU, I love Cold War stuff. I also love Spielberg movies. And Tom Hanks Movies. Put all of that together and you get Bridge of Spies. I've heard that even though it's based on a true story, not everything that happened is fact, and they put a lot of fiction in it. Okay, personally I'm fine with that. I mean, can you name one movie that's based on a true story and is 100% fact? Exactly, there's always Fiction in it. One of the things I would've liked to have seen in this movie would be a better transition from 1957 to 1961. I was also suprised with the German in this movie. Usually when people talk German in American Movies, it's so horrible. But here, it actually seemed like the actors took some German classes. Which - as a German myself - is very refreshing. So my overall score for this movie is 9.5/10. It's on the same level as Inside Out, but I think I prefered this movie, just a teensy bit more. :P

#1 Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens

Okay, everyone knew this was gonna be #1, right?! :P I mean this movie is probably #1 on everybody's list, so I don't think I have to say why. ;)

I do have to say a couple of things about this movie though. First of all: Yes, I know this is not a perfect movie. The plot is very similar to A New Hope, as well as Empire and Jedi.

Second: WHO CARES? ITS STAR WARS, IT SO AMAZING!!! OMG STAR WARS!!! OMG STAR WARS!!! OMG STAR WARS!!!!!!!! :P

As you can see, I loved this movie. It's great...And fantastic...And Brilliant...And AWESOME!!!!! :P :P :P

Seriously now...It's just such a great movie. I will admit, when I first heard about 3 new Star Wars movies coming out, I was a bit worried, because Prequels. But at the same time I was excited. Luke's back, Yay! Leia's back, Yay! Han's back, yay! And we got introduced to four great new characters, Rey, Finn, Poe and Kylo Ren. And they are just such amazing characters.

I actually completly avoided the Internet when it first came out, until I saw the movie. I avoided all Reviews, the only thing I saw was the Rotten Tomato's score. So really I had no idea what I was going into. Then the credits came...And... sniff it was so emotional. Star Wars was back in my life! I think I cried three or four times during this movie, it was just such an emotional rollercoaster. I'm not going to go into Spoilers here, incase anyone who hasn't seen it yet is reading this. But if that's the case WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU? GO SEE IT! NOW!!! :P Anyway, I'm gonna stop now, incase I accidentally get a heart attack or something. 9.9/10 (I know this movie has its faults, and I'm not denying them. But that is my score with this movie. It may change...)

Movies I missed:

Fant4stic

The Martian

I left out two movies, and they are Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation - which I liked - and Terminator: Genysis, which can go suck cock. :P

Okay, so I'm through with my Top 10 movies. But I thought I'd do a quick Top 10 TV series' of 2015. Since not only was this a great year in Movies, it was also a great year in TV.

And I think you can guess who most of these in the picture are, so I don't have to count them up. :P #Lazy

And yes, I do realize I have been greatly inactive this year, so let me tell you: I have great plans for 2016. I am working on an app. for the Lego Star Wars Story Group (which if you havn't, definitley should check out) (and the character is in this picture), a second role for the DC Story Group (also hint in this picture), and I'm definitley going to pick up Winter Soldier again (Reboot perhaps...? ;) and Green Arrow (I have the next issue ready to go, but never get around to uploading it...

So, bye bye 2015, and hello 2016!
