Changing form

 

This is the second stage of development of a Ladybird beetle; the pupa. The larva attached itself to the leaf and shed its skin for the last time to reveal its pupal skin beneath. It then performs the magical process of metamorphosis or changing form into a beetle with wings; the third and final stage.
