Municipal Socialism at its best. Norwich City Council built large numbers of well designed council homes. These, I am told, were designed by the renowned architect George Skipper. They are part of the large Mile Cross estate. For the last thirty years or more Tories in various parties have blocked the building of good quality council housing one way or another, to promote a false market of demand which sees the younger half of our adult population largely unable ever to have a decent home of their own at a reasonable cost.
