The TC&W's 30th Anniversary excursion is being staged in St. Anthony Yard on the Commercial with the MILW #32A bringing up the west end of the train.
#32A was built #202A in 1956, one of six EMD E9 A-B-A sets built for service on Milwaukee Road's Chicago-Omaha passenger corridor. As such, it was built to Union Pacific specifications and painted in Armor Yellow. Upon the startup of Amtrak, it was rebuilt in Milwaukee and became AMTK #434. It was retired from the Amtrak roster in 1982 and spent the rest of its career on the Alaska Railroad, Northern Rail Car Leasing, and Wisconsin and Southern before being acquired by the Friends of the 261 organization.
